We struggle everyday whether we know it or not. It could be a struggle with a jar, a person, an idea, a goal or even yourself. However we sometimes only notice our struggle more especially when things are tough. You know what they say, “When the going gets tough the tough get going.” So you can choose to bite the bullet and keep going to struggle or give up. No matter what, someone dear to me always said, “It’s not always about the end goal.” Yes, it is tough, and it is hard, but only then you push yourself. You might not end up a winner in the struggle, but at least you didn’t quit.
Alberto Giacommeti once said:
“The more you fail, the more you succeed it is only when everything is lost and instead of giving up, you go on, that you experience the momentary prospect of some slight progress. Suddenly you have the feeling – be it an illusion or not – that something new has opened up.”
So I’ll say this to myself next time when the going gets tough, “keep it mind that it’s good for you and don’t forget to smell the roses. Most importantly don’t forget to keep going.”
